Boots built for the season your buyer actually sells into

Ankle, Chelsea and mid-calf constructions in leather, suede, PU and knit. Boots are a calendar problem before they are a design problem — the sampling date decides the shelf date.

Work backwards from the shelf date

A boot that lands in store after the cold snap is a markdown. If your range needs to be on shelf in September, the sample has to be approved months earlier — and the material has to be booked before that, because leather and suede are the slowest items in the chain.

The arithmetic with us is simple: 30 days of bulk production from sample approval and deposit, plus shipping. Work the calendar back from your shelf date and you will know the deadline for signing off the sample. If that deadline has already passed, say so at the brief stage and we will tell you what is realistic rather than take the order and miss it.

What we develop

Ankle boots, Chelsea boots, mid-calf styles and booties across leather, suede, synthetic and knit uppers. The construction choices — pull-on versus zip, elastic gusset versus lacing, lined versus unlined — change both the cost and the fit more than most buyers expect, so we settle them on the sample.

What drives cost and lead time

  • Upper material. Leather and suede carry mill lead times and colour-matching; PU is faster. Material minimums from the mill can exceed your shoe quantity on small runs.
  • Shaft height and pattern pieces. A mid-calf boot has far more pattern and cutting work than an ankle boot at the same retail price.
  • Sole unit. Boot soles are usually moulded and often tooled specifically; that is a per-style cost.
  • Lining and insulation. Adding lining changes the last size and the whole fit calculation.

Orders and lead times

[('Minimum order', '50 pairs per style, per colourway'), ('Sample fee', 'USD 100 for a synthetic leather (PU) upper; other materials quoted per style'), ('Sample lead time', 'About 15 days for a PU upper'), ('Bulk lead time', '30 days from sample approval and deposit'), ('Payment', 'Under USD 3,000 paid in full; above that 30% to start, 70% before shipment'), ('Shipping', 'EXW Chengdu or FOB Shanghai'), ('Location', 'Hongye Avenue, Chongzhou, Chengdu, Sichuan, China')]

Questions buyers ask about this

Can you make a boot from a photo?

A photo is enough to start the conversation and quote. Before cutting, we need to agree shaft height, closure type, lining and sole — those four decide whether the boot is wearable at your price.

Do you work with leather and suede?

Yes, alongside PU and knit. Leather and suede add material lead time, so they need to be booked earlier in the calendar than synthetic uppers.

Is waterproofing available?

Tell us the requirement and the market standard you need to meet. We will confirm what is achievable on the construction you have chosen before you commit to a sample.

Send the shoe you have in mind

A photo, a sketch or a tech pack is enough. You get construction options, indicative pricing and the MOQ back within 24 hours. Sampling a synthetic leather (PU) upper is USD 100 and takes around 15 days — and nothing goes into bulk until you have approved the shoe.
