Sandals and slides, developed for warm-climate retail
Flat, heeled and platform constructions with straps, buckles and moulded footbeds. Fewer components than a boot, but every strap is a fitting decision.
What we develop
Flat sandals, heeled sandals, platforms, slides and mules. Straps, buckles, moulded footbeds and hardware combinations are set at sampling, because where a strap crosses the foot determines whether the sandal stays on when the wearer walks.
What drives cost and lead time
- Number of components. A two-strap slide is a different manufacturing proposition from a six-strap gladiator, even at the same retail price.
- Footbed construction. A moulded EVA or PU footbed needs tooling; a flat cemented footbed does not.
- Hardware. Metal buckles, rings and trims are the most common source of delay on a sandal line.
- Finishing. Edge painting, stitching detail and mixed materials all add hand operations.
Fitting is the whole game
A sandal has no upper to hold the foot, so the fit is carried entirely by the footbed and the strap positions. That is why we do not finalise a sandal from a drawing: the sample is where you find out whether the instep strap sits where it should on a real foot. Expect to comment on strap placement, not just colour.
Orders and lead times
[('Minimum order', '50 pairs per style, per colourway'), ('Sample fee', 'USD 100 for a synthetic leather (PU) upper; other materials quoted per style'), ('Sample lead time', 'About 15 days for a PU upper'), ('Bulk lead time', '30 days from sample approval and deposit'), ('Payment', 'Under USD 3,000 paid in full; above that 30% to start, 70% before shipment'), ('Shipping', 'EXW Chengdu or FOB Shanghai'), ('Location', 'Hongye Avenue, Chongzhou, Chengdu, Sichuan, China')]Questions buyers ask about this
Can you develop a moulded footbed?
Yes, and it is quoted per style because it requires tooling. At 50 pairs the tooling cost per unit is high, so we will tell you honestly whether a moulded footbed or a flat construction makes more sense at your volume.
Can we supply our own hardware?
Yes. Send the hardware or its specification and we will confirm compatibility with the strap material before sampling.
How long does a sandal sample take?
A synthetic leather upper is about 15 days at USD 100. Hardware sourcing, tooling or multiple strap constructions add time, which we quote before starting.
Send the shoe you have in mind
A photo, a sketch or a tech pack is enough. You get construction options, indicative pricing and the MOQ back within 24 hours. Sampling a synthetic leather (PU) upper is USD 100 and takes around 15 days — and nothing goes into bulk until you have approved the shoe.
